We want to build the perfect video widget for bloggers. So in that quest, we’ve made four new types and styles of widgets, all with new and enhanced functionality.
First, we have a new single-video-sized widget, designed for the upper right (or left!) corner of your blog. Perfect for the space-conscious blogger.

Like all of our new widgets, you can “page” or “scroll” through the videos. Your blog readers can watch as many videos from your collection (whether it’s 1, 5, 10, 100 or 1000!) as they like, right from the comfort of your blog. “Don’t like what you’re watching? Next!”
On the opposite end of the spectrum, we have a new — and more advanced — “gallery style” widget.

This widget is designed to occupy most of a web page. This is for the blogger who wants to make their whole collection easily accessible in their blog.
The new gallery widget is available as a WordPress plugin developed by the talented and prolific Alex King, the first of what we hope will be many applications built off of our API. Or, you just need to copy a few lines of javascript to add it. More here. Quick word of caution — we call this widget advanced because it’s for those of you comfortable hacking a few lines of code.
Finally, we’ve updated our topbar and sidebar widgets as well — a new look, and both let your readers “page” through your collection.

Enjoy. You can see all of our widgets here.

[...] Last fall, Crowd Favorite had the opportunity to build a WordPress plugin for VodPod. This was a fun project. We used the VodPod API and built some shortcodes and template tags for WordPress that make it easy to put a VodPod video player into a WordPress post, page or theme. The VodPod team then combined these features with the sidebar widget plugin they’d already developed to create a combined plugin that does both. [...]
