Ever wanted your own video site? A place all your own, that you fully control, to keep all your favorites from YouTube, Hulu, Comedy Central, BBC, blip.tv, College Humor, Daily Motion or literally thousands and thousands of other sites?
Say hello to our little friend, Vodspot. It makes it incredibly easy to get your own video site up and running in just a few minutes, with a few simple clicks, powered by your Vodpod video collection.
First, you select a layout for your site, using one of our templates:

Customize they layout of your site further with our modules — they’re like widgets for blogs, which you can drag-and-drop to arrange the layout of the page. And pick your own color patterns and add your own graphics to the borders of the page if you don’t like our out-of-the-box design.
You can domain map the site, so that it is published on your domain or subdomain (i.e., videos.mysite.com), and add a custom header (just requires a little CSS code) so that it fits neatly into your blog or website’s navigation. Or, just use our vodspot.tv domain.
Dreams of leading your own video nation? You can use a Vodspot to build your own video community if you want. Members can submit videos (you approve, of course, before they’re published) and add comments, too. We’ll be adding more community features in the coming weeks, let us know what you’d like to see.
Make money with Vodspot? Yes, you can. Just insert your Ad Sense account number, and we’ll run ads for you on fifty percent (that’s 50%) of your Vodspot pages. Or, you can upgrade for $20 per month and run ads from your advertising network or system of choice, on eighty percent (80%) of the pages.
Don’t want any ads at all? You can do that too, for just $30/year — that’s cheaper than a cup of coffee each month!
There is plenty more to tell you about Vodspot, and so we’ve set up a separate blog with more details if you’re interested.
We’d love to hear your feedback. Just leave a comment here about features you’d like to see, or at our Vodspot blog, or over at our Get Satisfaction site if you prefer that.
