With Daily Show & Colbert videos coming off Hulu, thought you’d be fascinated by this bit of trivia:
What is the biggest video site (by traffic) where you’ll still be able to find & watch Daily Show & Colbert videos? That would be Vodpod.com.
Vodpod members collect their favorite Daily Show and Colbert Report videos using embed codes provided by ComedyCentral to facilitate video sharing. Because the videos are hosted by ComedyCentral.com, they control and sell the inventory on their in-stream ads (and fully retain that revenue). So it’s a win for Comedy Central, it’s great for Vodpod members — and awesome, we hope, for anyone interested in watching the Daily Show or Colbert Report online. ComedyCentral does not yet provide embed codes for full-length shows — that’s something we hope they’ll add.
