The Vodpod team launched what we hope you’ll find are great improvements to the Vodpod account page (the home page for members) today.

All of the controls for your Vodpod account are now on the left. Your feed is to the right.

There is a new “Your Account” module with some handy prompts and links to set up your account and profile on Vodpod. It’s now incredibly easy to add a photo or avatar for your profile, and a quick bio too.

There are also links to connect your Vodpod account to Facebook and Twitter if you haven’t done that yet, and to find friends from those services already on Vodpod (so you can follow what they’re collecting). If you connect your Vodpod account to Facebook and Twitter, we also make it really easy to share what your collecting with your friends on those sites.

And, you can now see at a glance who you’re following, and who is following you, on Vodpod. (Following other members is one of the very best ways to take advantage of Vodpod — we have thousands and thousands of brilliant video collectors and curators, picking out the best videos from the web related to almost every topic you might be interested in. Ok, maybe not every topic.)

Down the page, you’ll find other modules — links to essential tools, to groups you’ve joined, and for statistics. All-in-all, we think the new home page will make Vodpod easier and simpler. We hope you agree.
